Criminal Defense Lawyer

Toronto Criminal LawyerWhat are Criminal Defense Lawyers & Attorneys and what do they do?

A Criminal Lawyer will defend someone in a court case which concerns a crime. He will either defend the victim or the author of the crime. Basically a Criminal Attorney will be implicated in any criminal law case. Criminal law (which is also called penal law) is often enforced by the government. It concerns events where someone has not complied with law, has committed a crime and is therefore in risk of going to jail. The CDA who is employed by the client, will try and defend his client and prove him innocent or simply try and reduce his possible sentence and charges by making arrangement with the prosecutors.

Criminal Defense lawyers are rather well paid as there payscale varies from $57,000 to $120,000 depending on the amount of experience they have. If a criminal attorney is employed by a law firm, then he will have a fix salary. On the other hand if he is private, he will be paid on court case basis! Below is a humoristic cartoon which i appreciate...
